This tool allows a selection to be made. When the mouse is over the graph interior area, the cursor changes to a cross. A selection can be made by dragging a rectangle around the area of interest.
A selection, which appears as ‘marching ants’, can specify an area to be copied to the clipboard, or an area to zoom into using Expand Selection, or an area that can become a new graph window with Extract Selection.
To cancel a selection, click outside the graph interior. This also works with the Arrow Tool.
To move a selection, click inside it with the marquee tool and drag it to the new position.
